The Opportunity
As the Risk, Safety & Environment Manager, you will play an integral part in driving and enhancing the Enterprise Risk, Safety and Environmental Management systems for the business as well as developing the organisation’s risk culture. You will be required to take the lead in the development, implementation, review and advocacy of all risk, safety, sustainability and environment strategies across the organisation. Collaborating with departments across the business your focus will be on providing specialist and timely advice to improve systems, mitigate risk and ensure best practice protocols are adopted.

About You
This opportunity will appeal to a driven and motivated individual with high level analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team to ensure best practice and compliant outcomes are achieved. You will possess demonstrated skills in leadership with previous experience in managing a team and building a culture aligned with our company values. Additionally, you will exhibit high level reporting, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prioritise and delegate tasks as required.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their understanding and previous application of risk, safety and environmental management principles. They will have experience working with ISO standards across all facets of their area of accountability, coupled with thorough knowledge of applicable legislation, regulations and accreditation standards. A qualified lead auditor and/or an individual with experience would be highly desirable.

Selection Criteria

  • Tertiary qualification at a degree level in an appropriate discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Comprehensive experience working with ISO standards
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and accreditation standards
  • Ability to understand and apply risk management principles within a program of works
  • Experience effectively leading and managing a team
