As a Systems Controller, you will be prioritising and triaging work orders for the dispatch of work crews out to water and sewer works, and proactively controlling system operations for all equipment in use and on stand by for water and sewer operations. 

You will be responsible for monitoring system availability, configuration and performance of the water and sewer systems in real time, and on hand to provide technical expertise and advice to field staff as required.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key activities of this role include:

  • Monitoring the water and sewer system availability, configuration & performance in real time from the control centre;
  • Escalating incidents to the appropriate stakeholders through system notifications and the dispatch team;
  • Identifying irregularities or inefficiencies in system operation and initiating further investigation and rectification works.

This role provides a commencing salary range of between $79.3k to $110.2k per annum dependent on skills and experience (inclusive of Market Loading) + 10.5% superannuation. 

* As this position involves shift work, it is anticipated that the actual salary could be up to 20% in addition to the base salary quoted, dependent on shifts worked (excluding any overtime). 

An additional week of Annual Leave is offered each year due to the shift work.  

Successful candidates may be required to undertake a course of vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B and Tetanus or demonstrate their immunity.
