The Role

Due to growth within the region and with upcoming projects due to commence in 2018, Fulton Hogan are currently seeking an Environmental Coordinator to join our Southern Region Construction team.

Reporting to the Environmental Manager, your responsibilities will include;

  • Manage the environmental and heritage approval processes for State and National road projects
  • Ensure compliance with State and Commonwealth legislation and corporate environmental objectives
  • Manage preparation and/or review of Environmental Assessments and Management Plans for internal and external approvals
  • Provide advice on environmental and heritage issues to the Region’s staff
  • Monitor and audit projects to ensure compliance
  • Contribute to the achievement of environmental objectives and targets set out in the regional Business Plan

About You

To be successful in this position you will require the following skills/experience;

  • Tertiary qualified in Environmental Science or other related discipline
  • Considerable skill and experience in Commonwealth and State environmental legislation
  • Knowledge of environmental constraints, issues and management principles applicable to infrastructure corridors
  • Knowledge of road design, construction and maintenance practices
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
