Have you got what it takes to make a real difference? We are seeking a motivated Commercial Solar Officer to join our Environment and Sustainable Transport team at Darebin Council to contribute to a coordinated response to the climate emergency and the delivery of the expanded Solar Saver program.

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivery of the significantly expanded Solar Saver program and Environmental Upgrades Agreements to businesses and non-residential properties in Darebin and contributing to Council’s exciting climate emergency action programs to the community.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Sound knowledge and commitment to environmental sustainability issues particularly experience with solar photo-voltaics (pv) and energy efficiency opportunities within the business sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist businesses to reduce carbon emissions and improve sustainability. 
  • Demonstrated project and contract management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise, build rapport and assist the business community, industry and trade groups and individuals, and State and Federal Government.

Interviews are likely to be held week commencing 14 January 2019.
