Conservation & Land Management Trainee

The position of Conservation & Land Management Trainee will offer a Certificate III in Conservation & Land Management whilst gaining experience through day-to-day activities in Council's Parks & Environment Program over 12 months. Duties shall include but not limited to:
  • Commitment to undertake all training requirements and successfully complete a Certificate II Conservation and Land Management
  • Assist in natural environment preservation practices including dune restoration, revegetation and land management practices
  • Gain knowledge in the upkeep of plant and machinery used in the undertaking of the duties associated with the studies of the traineeship
  • Gain knowledge and experience in how to complete documentation and related record keeping within modules associated with undertaking the traineeship
 
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills
  • Current QLD ‘C’ Class drivers licence would be an advantage
  • Successful completion of Year 10
  • General Construction Safety White/Blue card would be an advantage
  • Basic literacy, numeracy, verbal and written communication skills

Trainee pay rates apply – up to $555 p/w*

9.25% superannuation*
4 weeks annual leave
