Co-Ordinator - Planning Scheme Program

 

Remuneration: Salary range between $90,297 and $95,861 (dependent on experience) plus 13% superannuation

Reporting to the Manager - Planning Strategy and Major Projects, this Senior position will be responsible for leading and delivering the timely review of Council's Planning Scheme in line with legislative requirements, and contribute expert knowledge to land use planning policy that supports Council's vision of providing a liveable, prosperous, well designed and sustainable region that strengthens local communities drives responsible enviornmental management and protection of sensitive enviornments, and boosts our local economy by;

  • Leading and coordinating the preparation, enhancement, implementation and maintenance of Council’s strategic planning policy framework;
  • Managing major strategic planning projects contributing to the delivery of an endorsed annual work program;
  • Leading, coordinating and delivering effective community engagement processes to inform Planning Scheme review; and
  • Acting as the senior authority and provide expert advice on matters relating to Council’s Planning Scheme.

A candidate who is strong in relevant experience leading the preparation of Planning Scheme reviews and associated amendments, strategic planning policy, and providing expert technical advice on matters related to a local government planning framework will be perfect for this role.
