Senior Landscape Architect

Key Duties:

A rare opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and passionate Senior Landscape Architect with the right combination of talent and expertise to lead and manage our landscape/urban design projects and to provide contemporary design solutions which will shape and enhance the visual and practical aspects of the landscape and streetscapes across the city.

About the role
This position is part of our Design & Survey Services team which includes an overall staff of 17. The key duties and responsibilities of the role include:
  • The preparation of design concept, detailed design and construction drawings, estimates and specifications for multi-disciplinary landscape projects within specified timeframes
  • Preparation of Master Plans, and Master Planning Documentation
  • Management of Landscape/Urban Design Projects
  • Contributing towards the development of strategic plans
  • Assisting with the development of policy, procedures and processes regarding landscape/ urban design, documentation and construction, and associated areas within the context of the long term goals, values and aspirations of the organisation

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline to Degree level or higher
  • Demonstrated practical landscape design skills in hard and soft landscape infrastructure for tropical and sub-tropical environments
  • Competency with relevant software packages particularly AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop and InDesign), MS Office and 3D modelling software
  • A working knowledge of estimating processes and specifications applied to landscape and associated civil infrastructure
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills of a technical and strategic nature using professional and technical knowledge and
  • Demonstrated communication, presentation and negotiation skills, including the ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with other staff and a range of internal and external customers, sourcing and managing other skilled specialist professionals to support design projects
