An exciting opportunity exists to join the Open Space and Recreation department in a dynamic 3 year contract role. 

The City of Port Phillip is seeking a highly motivated and suitably qualified individual to fill the role of Program Manager Water in the Open Space and Recreation team. Reporting to the Manager Open Space and Recreation you will work closely with the Sustainability Department and across the organisation to project manage stormwater harvesting and water demand management projects in Council's Capital Works Portfolio.

Successful applicants will have a relevant tertiary qualification and experience in project management, demonstrated interpersonal skills, as well as sound influencing and stakeholder management skills.

Ideally you will have:

• Demonstrated extensive experience in project management across the project delivery lifecycle including business case development and gaining executive management approval
• The ability to liaise, influence, persuade, convince, negotiate or otherwise achieve co-operation and assistance from clients and stakeholders in the pursuit and achievement of Council's interests
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop other employees
• Demonstrated success in planning and delivery of projects with multi-disciplinary teams and commitment to improve project delivery practices
• Track record of compliance with project governance, project methodology, status reporting and financial expenditure tracking
• Demonstrated and proven flexibility in utilising project delivery tools and approach in responding to a multidiscipline and changing environment
• Degree or equivalent in relevant area such as Environmental Engineering or Project Management
• Post Graduate qualification and/or lesser formal qualifications with extensive and diverse experience, or intensive specialist experience
• Open space, stormwater harvesting or other relevant experience
• Knowledge of PM methodologies, and competent in specialist tools such as Visio, Microsoft Project.
