Circular Economy Coordinator

Do you have a passion for eliminating waste and improving the continual use of resources? Are you experienced at developing and implementing policies and plans?

In this newly created role, you will identify a resource recovery solution that is innovative, environmentally sustainable and cost effective. You will lead, drive and manage circular economy policies, and work effectively and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and provide expert and professional advice on creating a circular economy and alternative waste treatment opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include establishing relationships and working closely with a range of stakeholders, undertaking research and preparing reports, business plans and communications on recommendations on innovative ways with creating renewable energy within City owned facilities.

Developing and implementing policies and procedures to achieve the adopted ‘One Planet Living’ principles including zero waste to landfill is another exciting responsibility of the position.

You will have excellent communication skills, proven ability to prepare and present high quality written and verbal reports with strong financial management experience.

If you hold formal qualifications in market development (or similar), have experience and knowledge of the waste/energy industry with demonstrated project management experience we welcome your application.
