The Goulburn Broken CMA is excited to offer an opportunity to join our successful, friendly Natural Resource Management organisation in a team management position that will see you inspire and lead the implementation of floodplain management.

 Manager – Floodplain Implementation

We are seeking applications from motivated and experienced individuals to join our Floodplain Program to lead an experienced team delivering outcomes aligned with the Regional Floodplain Management Strategy.

Achieving the Authority's legislative requirements as a referral body primarily under the Planning and Environment Act 1987, a key driver for this position is to guide activities to focus on improved natural resource management for our catchment in the areas of waterway protection and the provision of information and education to community, local and state government to improve the communities’ flood resilience.

The position of Manager Floodplain Implementation will see the successful applicant possess:

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and develop a team to achieve strong performance preferably in the NRM sector
  • Strong technical knowledge in land-use planning, flood mitigation and emergency management
  • Passion and experience in stakeholder engagement and education
This position will allow you to work with a skilled team in a supportive organisation and to contribute to a significant NRM program within the Goulburn Broken catchment.


This position is an ongoing appointment and is offered with the ability to negotiate an appointment at any of our three office locations - Shepparton, Benalla and Yea.
