People, Safety and Wellbeing Manager

We are looking for an energetic and creative People, Safety and Wellbeing Manager to build on our strengths and to create further opportunities for the delivery of best practice in our human resource, OHS and learning development functions, operating from the Shepparton office.

Reporting directly to the Corporate Program Manager, this senior role is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of HR and OHS across the Authority.  The manager is responsible for providing specialist advice and guidance to all levels of the organisation, identifying and delivering HR and OHS services to support the business needs whilst ensuring legislative and government policy compliance. As a member of the senior executive team you will possess sound strategic and analytical skills and provide timely advice to the Executive and Board Remuneration Committee. You will be required to manage staff/consultants and you will have influence across the organisation.

To succeed in this role you will have experience and a track record of achievement in a management level role. You will have experience in driving a HR and OHS focus which seeks to develop people and teams combined with a talent for building and maintaining strong relationships.  Proven experience in designing and delivering contemporary HR and OHS services and systems is preferred.
