In Brisbane, we have an established wastewater process engineering team providing specialist wastewater treatment services to our key clients.  Drawing on multi-discipline capability from our local Brisbane office, and linking with specialist expertise across Australia and globally, Aurecon is looking to build on our existing market position in wastewater treatment to become the market leader across Australia.  To achieve this aspiration, we are seeking a Principal Wastewater process engineer to join and lead our dedicated and motivated team of water and wastewater process engineers in Brisbane. 

As the technical leader of the team your key accountability will be to deliver exceptional service to a growing number of projects, focusing on planning, design, modelling and process optimisation of wastewater treatment plants for our key clients.  In this position you will predominantly work on municipal wastewater treatment projects from master-planning and feasibility studies through to detailed design and commissioning.  Treatment plant operational experience will be advantageous, but not essential.

As a Chartered professional engineer holding or eligible for RPEQ status, you will be able to communicate ideas successfully and collaborate with clients and colleagues to achieve project delivery goals. You will also be required to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus to establish rapport and develop a deep understanding of our client’s objectives and challenges. 

Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field will be highly regarded, but not essential.  Active involvement with industry bodies and/or research organisations to keep abreast of developments and emerging trends in the field of wastewater treatment will be highly regarded, and you will be encouraged to maintain this in the role.
