The Sustainability Engagement Coordinator will develop and deliver strategic programs to achieve better environmental performance in residential strata communities. Partnering with diverse stakeholders in government, community and industry the Coordinator will work to deliver actions within the City of Sydney's Residential Apartments Sustainability Plan. The focus is to build capacity within the strata sector to reduce carbon emissions, water consumption and reduce waste to landfill in line with City of Sydney targets. In addition to driving building retrofits and renewable energy uptake, the Coordinator will also advocate for policy change to overcome sustainability challenges and empower owners corporations, building and strata managers to create resilient communities on a trajectory to a net-zero future.

The successful candidate will have:

• tertiary qualifications at degree level in a relevant discipline and/or extensive knowledge of environmental issues and behaviour change programs
• proven program management skills and experience in delivering comprehensive behaviour change programs
• Understanding of legislation and regulation relevant to strata communities (or ability to upskill in this area)
