The City of Sydney is seeking a highly skilled, dynamic and motivated Sustainability Engagement Coordinator (Water) to join our Sustainability Programs Unit.

The Sustainability Programs Unit engages with our community (residential and business) to reduce our environmental impact. Our work is guided by Sustainable Sydney 2030, the City's Environmental Strategy and Action Plan and the three sector based sustainability plans that sit beneath this: Residential Apartment Sustainability Plan, Sydney's Sustainable Office Buildings and Making Sydney a Sustainable Destination.

The purpose of this position is to work with our residential strata and business communities to deliver water savings over the next two years. You will work to identify water saving opportunities, engage with targeted customers to implement and measure water savings. This role has been created in partnership with Sydney Water and will collaborate with other staff across 5 Sydney Councils to deliver metropolitan wide water efficiency services and empower city communities to respond to the current drought and climate change resilience.

Working strategically with the Sustainability Programs Unit management team you will have demonstrated experience working successfully with cross functional teams, experience designing, implementing and evaluating environmental programs and campaigns, expertise in resource (specifically water) efficiency in the built environment, strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, contract management skills and experience, project management skills and strong communication skills.
