The Position

The Supervisor Waste and Recycling Berridale Depot will ensure the efficient and effective operations of the Waste and Recycling Collections within the service areas, in accordance with legislative requirements and Local, Regional and State plans and objectives.

Selection Criteria

Essential –

• Demonstrated skills in supervising a team
• Intermediate administration and computer skills to be able to undertake administrative functions of the role (a minimum of Basic level and a willingness to develop skills)
• Current Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence
• Ability to operate a range of heavy machinery
• WorkCover approved Construction Induction Card
• Current Traffic Controller Licence and Implement Traffic Control Plan Licence
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Experience in the operation of waste/recycling trucks
• Proven ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
• Well-developed understanding of Work Health and Safety, in particular manual handling and waste/recycling collection/disposal
• Ability to undertake risk assessments relating to existing and new service routes
• Up to date immunisations of Hepatitis A, B & C and Tetanus and willingness to obtain Q Fever immunisations if and when required

Salary Details

$1079.23/week + Super & Shift Allowances – 76hr Fortnight
