Operating within the Monash Sustainable Development Institute (MSDI) Climateworks bridges research and action and is a trusted advisor to powerful decision-makers across governments, business, and finance. Respected for its specialist analysis and engagement capabilities, Climateworks is seeking to drive system-level change in line with what is required to keep global warming below 1.5 degrees.

The Role
The head of strategy leads the development of the strategic goals, impact monitoring and evaluation, and modelling of decarbonisation trajectories at sectoral and national levels. Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the executive team, you will provide expert advice at both strategic and operational levels and represent Climateworks externally within specialist forums and with funders.

Skills Required
With a proven commitment to the fight against climate change or sustainability, you will be a climate strategist within a large program portfolio with management and senior leadership experience, but most importantly you can demonstrate your ability to make strategic decisions to shape a portfolio of programs to influence system change. You also have experience developing and operationalizing strategy and driving board-level strategic reviews, with success in empowering high ambition outcomes through collaboration with others.
