Faculty Overview:

The Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Lincoln University invites applications for Professor of Livestock Production. This position is located within the Department of Agricultural Sciences and is responsible for teaching and research in livestock production science and livestock production systems. 

The Role:

We are seeking applicants with expertise research appropriate in livestock production systems and their components appropriate for major New Zealand farming situations.  You will also be expected to forge links with the New Zealand sheep, beef and dairy industries.

Skills & Experience:

In order to apply for this position, you will need:

  • a PhD in an appropriate animal science, animal nutrition, livestock production or related discipline;
  • the enthusiasm to lecture at undergraduate and postgraduate degree level;
  • the ability to supervise postgraduate students;
  • experience in undertaking and publishing high quality research;
  • an inquiring mind;
  • a  passion for working with, and educating young people.
